From Latin to K-pop, country and rap, the first week of August has closed with a wide range of new music — thanks to Karol G, Stray Kids, Stella Lefty and more.
One of the buzziest releases is definitely No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, the Colombian superstar’s latest album that follows a little more than a year after Tropicoqueta. The set features team-ups with global stars Drake — marking a full-circle moment after he shouted her out on “New Bestie” earlier this year — and Bruno Mars.
Also on the docket are Stray Kids, who unleashed THIS & THAT — an eight-track EP that could very well add to the K-pop boy band’s streak of never debuting less than at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — and Lefty, who builds on the wildfire momentum of her Billboard Hot 100 No. 3 single “Boston” by dropping new track “Lean In, Kiss Me.”
More fresh music arrived this week from Alex Warren, who dropped “Rescuer,” and Madonna, who teamed up with Kylie Minogue for a pop-daydream remix of “Love Sensation.” Plus, Role Model’s Chuck Timely & The Hourglass, Pooh Shiesty’s All Eyes on Shiest and FLO’s Therapy at the Club head up the slate of new albums midway through a year that’s already been particularly busy with LP releases.
