RAYE’s sophomore album THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. debuts in the top 10 across four Billboard album charts (dated April 11), including Top Album Sales, where it starts at No. 8. It also arrives in the top 10 on Independent Albums (No. 3), Indie Store Album Sales (No. 6) and Vinyl Albums (No. 8). It also starts at No. 11 on the overall Billboard 200.
The new set was preceded by the smash single “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!,” which has spent the last three months lodged in the top 20 of the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. The track has also reached the top 20 of the all-genre Radio Songs and Streaming Songs charts, as well as the Pop Airplay, Rhythmic Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary radio charts.
RAYE’s North American tour kicked off on March 31 in Sacramento and continues through May 13 in Los Angeles. Later, she’ll return to North America as an opening act on Bruno Mars’ The Romantic Tour from Aug. 21 through Oct. 17.
RAYE’s new album is one of a whopping seven titles that debut in the top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart, where BTS’ ARIRANG rules for a second week. Also starting in the top 10: Melanie Martinez’s HADES (No. 2), Ye’s BULLY (No. 3), Yeat’s ADL (No. 4), Black Label Society’s Engines of Demolition (No. 5), Slayyyter’s WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA (No. 7) and Charlie Puth’s Whatever’s Clever! (No. 9). Two more titles are holdovers in the top 10, as Johnny Blue Skies & The Dark Clouds’ Mutiny After Midnight rises 10-6 while Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving falls 6-10.
