The members of BTS take stock after a large night, shake off the cobwebs, and make themselves right at home in the music video for “NORMAL,” which is available to watch first on Spotify for a 48-hour exclusive.
Directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Tanu Muino, the clip dropped at midnight and features each of BTS’ seven members, capturing them letting off stream and in “deeply personal and intimate moments,” a statement reads. If there’s an eighth wonder, it’s the stately old mansion which hosts the lads. It’s a country pile that holds secrets, dozens of empty wine glasses and flashbacks the giveaway.
The wintry video gives us the now-viral image of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook standing before a row of toilets, bringing the teaser campaign full circle, and we’re treated to a fine collection of dogs. And a swan.
“NORMAL” is housed on BTS’ fifth and latest studio album ARIRANG, and is the second single from it, after “SWIM.”
Interscope/Capitol Records will begin working “NORMAL” to pop radio as of the week beginning July 27.
“SWIM” sailed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April, as ARIRANG rolled to No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The titles became the superstar septet’s seventh leader on each list.
On the live front, the BTS juggernaut is powering through the Continental Europe leg of a world tour in support of ARIRANG. Up next, concerts tonight and Saturday at Paris’ Stade De France, and on Sunday, July 19, the K-pop superstars will join Justin Bieber, Madonna and Shakira as co-headliners at the first FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
